It was almost midnight and he was still driving. He was driving and he was blind with the fog of the night.
Lurking through the windshield, not a single car was seen and most of the lamps on the road were turned off. I must be the only one driving tonight. It was new year's eve, after all. He was driving slowly, but the same could not be said of the car who came from nowhere, from the right side of the crossroad. It came full of speed and it drove so close to his car that he put on the brake abruptly and cursed. When he was about to set the car in motion again, he heard a big loudly horn from a big truck behind him. From the rear view mirror, he saw two big yellow eyes approaching as the tires screamed in a squeaking voice. He took a quick glance of the car clock and saw it was already midnight. Then, he closed his eyes and all of a sudden, there was no light, there was no fog and no cold. Only black, sticky darkness.
